In the North, an itinerant truck to provide services to isolated residents

To help the inhabitants of rural communities with their administrative procedures, a France Services itinerant truck travels from town to town in the Nord department. Objective: to get the inhabitants out of their isolation. #IlsOntLaSolution

In the North, an itinerant utility truck travels from town to town

How to reduce the digital divide and get out of their isolation from rural populations? To meet these challenges, the Nord department has launched a traveling bus which brings together around ten public services (taxes, health insurance, etc.). The vehicle travels through rural communities to help residents who no longer have access to public services, except on the internet. Employees answer users’ questions and help is provided to better complete online procedures.

“It is support that we want to put in place. That’s why we have a dual screen that allows you to show the tabs you click on so that people can try to reproduce it at home ”, explains Bernard Foucaut, in charge of relations with the user inside the truck. The France Services blue truck travels to 60 municipalities in the North and an extension of its perimeter is under study.
