On the 12/13 set, David Boéri comments on the latest figures on home employment in France.
After two and a half years of continuous decline, the numbers for home employment are reversing. While the payroll, i.e. all salaries paid, has been plummeting since 2014, “It grew by 1% in the first quarter of this year”, reports David Boéri, on the set of 12/13.
Effective tax measures
If there are more salaries paid, it is partly because “Hourly wages have increased, and above all because the number of hours declared is on the rise”, the journalist notes. To explain this recovery, there are in particular the tax measures which are starting to take effect. “Since December, the reduction in contributions has been reduced to two euros per hour for all personal service activities. The aim was to fight moonlighting, and apparently it works ”, adds David Boéri.
