In a survey published on May 24, 43% of French people give up care for reasons of high costs and 42% for too long appointment times. From 7.45 a.m. to 7.30 p.m., the MGEN medical center is always full. Open to all and without an appointment, it welcomes up to 800 patients per day. The advantage is that there is no need to advance money, because third-party payment is practiced. This medical center also offers shorter waiting times, in particular at the general practitioner.

Facilitate access to care

“Within 48 hours, we can have an appointment”, explains Mathilde Plantureux, general practitioner. And patients find everything on site like dermatologists or ophthalmologists. 30 specialties are provided by a hundred doctors. Mutuals manage more than 2,000 health centers throughout France. The aim is to avoid fee overruns and to facilitate access to care.
