A student in Toulouse (Haute-Garonne) had left his apartment during confinement. But on his return, the lock had been changed, and his accommodation squatted.
ATToulouse (Haute-Garonne), Tristan’s apartment is on the first floor of a pretty residence. He rents a 40 square meter space there for 540 euros per month. After the last confinement, spent with his parents, the 22-year-old computer student returned home on May 15, but he will not go through the door of his main home: someone had changed the lock.
“I don’t feel safe”
Have squatters settled in his home? A neighbor of Tristan told him that his furniture had been stolen by residents to equip another squat in the building. “Something’s gonna have to be done, because it’s no longer possible“, Confides the young man. Tristan has of course lodged a complaint, but as often in such a case, it seems complicated to dislodge possible squatters. “It touches, a drama like that, I’m afraid, I don’t feel safe. My goal is to go home, see what’s left, if there’s anything left, and after leaving, never come back“Says the student, who has since taken refuge with a relative.
