10 days before Christmas Eve, France 2 presents a festive meal at a low price.
Cooking a New Year’s Eve meal for less than 15 euros per person is possible! The challenge was sent to Gaëlle Chrétien, a Savoyard chef at home. It favors local and organic products preferably. On the menu: simplicity and high standards. The creation of its festive menu begins with the dessert: a passion fruit cream and pineapple tartare. Everything will be served chilled in a verrine.
A cream of porcini mushrooms
The second step will be the starter: a lentil salad with smoked salmon, orange and lime. Finally the third step: the main course. It will be a minced chicken accompanied by a porcini mushroom cream, accompanied by fresh tagliatelle and a cloud of arugula. The all-inclusive bill for four people amounts to just over 62 euros with two bottles of wine at seven euros each included. The bet is largely held!
